Redirecting to the home page was probably held over from Section edit, but makes less sense after editing a Section (child) Page, especially since many times you will want to make more edits, and in that case, it gets annoying quickly to have to navigate back to the Section page.

SectionPage edit was already redirecting back to the section page after edit. What was redirecting to home was after clicking the deploy site button. That has now been changed to redirect back to whatever page it was clicked on, which would be the expected and desirable behavior.
